Oh had I a golden thread and needle so fine. I’d weave a magic strand of rainbow design. Of rainbow design
In it I’d weave the bravery of women giving birth. In it I’d weave the innocence of children over all the earth. Children of all earth
I’d show my brothers and my sisters my rainbow design. Bind up this sorry world in hand and heart and mind. Hand and heart and mind.
Far over the waters I’d reach my magic strand.
To every human being. So they would understand. So they’d understand.

Beautiful, Stephen. Thank you.
Thank you, Bumble.

Love & Light
Thank you, Mira.
Donovan Lietch / 1969 and you would have had a hit on your hands. That is not to say your 2012 version isn’t lovely!
Never heard Donovan do it. I’m sure he did it excellently.
Thank you for the kind words.
simply beautiful! thank you!
Thank you. Thank you for visiting.
I loved this Stephen… speaks to me of oneness ~ and especially beautiful that it depicts children, color, distance over geography– very rich! Love and Blessings, Robyn
Thank you very much and thank you for visiting other post on my blog. This song, of course, was written by Pete Seeger. I have another post of this song on the blog and I think I spoke about Pete Seeger there. It is a wonderful song, which I thought might be appropriate following last week’s tragedy.
