Here are two more blues songs for your listening pleasure.
Kansas City Blues, the “standard” version, the Lieber and Stoller 1952 song recorded in 1959 by Wilbert Harrison and later by the Beatles and a ton of others. Why and how Lieber and Stoller get credit for writing the song is a good question, because it’s quite an old blues and there are a kajillion versions of it, which indicates the song’s age and appeal. I would check out the Jim Jackson 1927 recording of it. Meanwhile, here’s Bumba having a go at it.
And while we’re having a go at it here’s another very old blues, Easy Rider. I play it here with only two chords.
You made me love you and now your man done come.
