Happy Thanksgiving. Bumbastories has already posted this Thanksgiving Greeting from the cement elephants twice, but what the heck. On a serious note, it is incumbent on us to mention that Bumba has maintained a long abstinence from all spiritual contact – and indeed any and all forms of communication – with any and all cement animal sculptures. See cement animal sculpture compendium for full description of Bumba’s semi-heroic, but tragically heart-breaking spiritual quest via cement animal sculptures. Bumbastories indeed confesses to knowledge that they’re not made out of cement at all. Gee whiz. They’re made of plastocene and were placed in the La Brea Tar Pits in the 1960’s, not during the Ice Age, as was previously supposed.  OK, here are the cement elephants

Happy Thanksgiving, oh Hubert!
Joy to the world!
Peace, Love….
Wait a minute, Franklin! Do you forget that we are cement elephants, lifeless animal sculptures stuck here in the mud for like 20 or 30 thousand years already? What's to be thankful about?
Wait a minute, Franklin! Do you forget that we are cement elephants, just animal sculptures stuck here in the mud for like 30,000 years already? What’s to be thankful about?

Verily so, Hubert. The life of a cement animal structure is none too enviable. Being stuck in the mud is not exactly a piece of cake, not your typical cup of tea. Which reminds me of all those Thanksgiving treats…..

That’s right, Franklin! There’s sweet potatoes, candied yams, collard greens, cranberry sauce, the turkey of course, and the stuffing…and…
And gravy too. Happy Thanksgiving to all the people out there!
And gravy too.
Don’t forget the gravy!
Happy Thanksgiving to all the people out there!
