Here’s to Johnny Cash

I love Johnny Cash. And of course, I am not alone. Johnny Cash was beloved by millions of people all around the world. His talent and appeal – which extended beyond the Country Music world, to all sorts of audiences – was something very special. His voice was special. His attitude, his pose, was special. And then the songs he wrote. Here, me and Maybank give Folsom Prison Blues a try.

    1. Most definitely. Outside of Hank William’s, Johnny Cash is Country’s greatest figure. And truly, I think everybody liked his music.

  1. Adore Johnny Cash. That brilliant, talented, agonised man. Love your Folsom! Love the ‘mouth organ’ (well, that’s what I call it) – it sawed my heart out. Bleeding now.

  2. I like him but he’s not my favourite. I prefer Little Ricard, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Elvis, Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee Lewis from that era.
