Got the covid 19 blues? Well, let’s try to sing our blues away.
One thing that’s giving Bumba the blues these covid days is that he can’t meet with Maybank every week to play music – and record stuff for this blog. So apologies if the music isn’t as good today, but Bumba will do his best. And he was singing the blues yesterday. Being we’re all more or less homebound, and all have restless visions of hitting the wide open road, we’ll start off with Big Bill Broonzy’s Key to the Highway.
Whaa?
Then Robert Johnson’s Love in Vain, which me and Maybank always do, but which most people know from the Rolling Stones version.
And then a traditional blues called Better Day, which is something we need to remind ourselves every day.

And keep playin that country music.
Very nice photo at the top of your post. I love blue, the color. I do not know much about blues.
Thank you. It’s one of Escher׳s paintings, who used geometry to create these Tess elations or patterns.
Thank you!
Thanks Bumba – I love the Blues – it always cheers me up.
I think the Blues reconnects you to a basic, underlying stability. It starts from sadness and moves on.
